Between January and April 2025, India saw 1,31,856 foreign tourists for medical treatment, said Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. Bangladesh was the top source with 4,82,336 medical tourists in 2024, followed by Iraq (32,008), Somalia (11,717), Oman (10,431), and Uzbekistan (8,921). Centre has also made it easier for patients from 171 countries with e-medical visas.
