India said there "should be no double standards" on energy trade, after UK announced 90 new sanctions against Russian oil companies and Nayara refinery in Gujarat. "We don't subscribe to any unilateral sanctions...India considers...provision of energy security a responsibility of paramount importance," said government. Nayara imported 100 million barrels of Russian crude oil in 2024, UK said.
