The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) built India's first animal overpass corridor at Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which passes through the buffer zone of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. "The eight-lane expressway runs below us, and this entire structure above is an overpass exclusively built for animal movement," an NHAI official said. Each of these five overpasses is 500 meters long, he added.
