India has launched its first solar-powered EV charging station using repurposed batteries near Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. Part of the RE2EV pilot under SUM-ACA, the hub integrates a 45 kWp solar system with 100 kWh second-life battery storage. It offers 18 fast and five slow chargers, supports 24/7 service, and promotes sustainable EV infrastructure for future urban mobility.
