Ahmedabad will soon get India's first 16-storey railway station, a vertical multimodal hub integrating conventional trains, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train, metro services and road transport. Built above Kalupur station platforms, the structure will feature modern concourses, retail space and seamless transfers. Expected by July 2027, the project aims to reduce congestion.
