The number of active COVID-19 cases in India has risen to 4,866, updated Health Ministry data showed on June 5. At 1,487, Kerala has the highest active COVID-19 cases in the country. Kerala is followed by Delhi (562), West Bengal (538), Maharashtra (526) and Gujarat (508). A total of 51 coronavirus-linked deaths have been reported in India since January 2025.
