Indian Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi defeated world number one Magnus Carlsen in Armageddon in Round 10 of Norway Chess 2025. Erigaisi and Carlsen drew the Classical game, however, Erigaisi checkmated Carlsen in the Armageddon game. Arjun finished fifth with 13 points, Carlsen won the event with 16 points, while world chess champion Gukesh D secured third place.
