The average cost of data breaches in India has increased 13% YoY, from ₹19.5-crore in 2024 to ₹22-crore this year, marking the country's highest ever cost. The limited AI security measures in the country have become a major cause for cyberattacks. The top three attack vectors for the data breaches were phishing, third-party vendor/supply chain compromise, and vulnerability exploitation.
