India's ban on ships carrying Pakistani goods from anchoring at its ports has increased freight charges and delayed shipping by 30-50 days, reports stated. The ban prohibits both direct and indirect import of goods originating from or exported by Pakistan. Following the ban, mother vessels no longer dock at Pakistani ports, and traders have turned to more expensive feeder vessels.
