India's coking coal imports are projected to rise sharply as the country targets 300 MT steel capacity by 2030, says an EY-Parthenon and ISA report. With the steel industry consuming 95% of demand, imports may climb from 87 MT in FY25 to 135 MT by 2030 despite government missions to boost domestic output and cut reliance.
