India's defence production hit a record ₹1.54 lakh crore in 2024-25, driven by major Atmanirbharta reforms, rising MSME participation and expanded manufacturing capacity. Defence exports also touched an all-time high of ₹23,622 crore. With policy support, industrial corridors, and growing private-sector involvement, India aims for ₹3 lakh crore manufacturing and ₹50,000 crore exports by 2029.
