The total foodgrain production in India hit a record high of 357.73 million tonnes during 2024-25, nearly 8% year-on-year growth in total foodgrain output. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said India is witnessing the highest increase in foodgrain production in the last ten years. Four crops, rice, wheat, soybean and groundnut, recorded the highest ever production.
