Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said India's average inflation in the last 10 years, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government, was at its lowest level since independence. "[October 2024 inflation] is not a surprise...It's not rocket science," Goyal added at the CNBC-TV18 Global Leadership Summit. He further said that inflation will come down by December.
