A Reuters poll of independent economists has found that the Indian government's official jobless data, which pegged unemployment rate at 5.6% in June, is half of the actual rate. Experts blamed outdated definitions of what constitutes a job for the difference in data. India's official employment and unemployment data counts anyone working for even one hour a week as employed.
