India's sugar production is projected to rise 16% year-on-year to 34.35 MT in the 2025 - 26 season, aided by good monsoon rains and higher cane acreage, said the Indian Sugar & Bio-Energy Manufacturers Association. After diverting 3.4 MT for ethanol, net sugar output is expected at 30.95 MT, with 5 MT carryover stock.
