India's unemployment rate fell to 5.2% in July from 5.6% in the previous month, stated Periodic Labour Force Survey's (PLFS) monthly survey. The data further showed, in urban areas, joblessness rate among youth aged 15-29 years increased to 19.0% in July from 18.8% in June. In rural areas, the youth jobless rate declined to 13% from 13.8% in June.
