India's unemployment rate (UR) in Current Weekly Status for individuals aged 15 and above rose from 5.1% in April to 5.6% in May, marking a 0.5% increase, as per the Statistics Ministry. Female unemployment stood at 5.8%, while male unemployment was 5.6%. Additionally, Labour Force Participation Rate for same age group fell to 54.8% in May from 55.6% in April.
