US customs officials said India-based Waaree Energies avoided US tariffs on Chinese-made solar cells and panels by labelling them as made-in-India, Reuters reported. The US has discouraged imports of China-made solar panels for over a decade by imposing tariffs on them. "Waaree has...and will continue to co-operate in ongoing investigations," the company said as its shares fell nearly 8%.
