At the FAO–BOBP meet in Chennai, India called for climate justice in fisheries governance, emphasising that nations least responsible for the climate crisis should not bear its heaviest costs. The regional capacity-building event, held from September 17 to 19, aims to develop National Plans of Action (NPOA) for small-scale fisheries in Bay of Bengal rim countries.
