Union Minister of Road Transport Nitin Gadkari said India should now export ethanol after achieving 20% blending in petrol, with surplus production reaching 1,822 crore litres annually. Highlighting farmer income gains of ₹45,000 crore, he cited biofuel innovations like rice-straw ethanol, flex-fuel vehicles, and bio-bitumen roads. Gadkari stressed biofuels will cut pollution and reduce imports.
