India has been ranked 131st out of 148 countries in World Economic Forum's (WEF) Global Gender Gap Index 2025, slipping two places from its position last year. Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka have been ranked 24th, 119th, 125th, and 130th, respectively, while Pakistan secured the last spot. Iceland, Finland, and Norway claimed the top three positions in the index.
