During Paraguay President Santiago Pena Palacios' visit to India, P Kumaran, Secretary (East), MEA, said, "India and Paraguay have worked together in many multilateral forums, including UN." He added, "India sought Paraguay's support for India's candidate for a non-permanent seat at The UN Security Council (UNSC)." President Palacios also invited PM Narendra Modi to visit Paraguay.
