In a first-of-its-kind launch, India has successfully tested the launch of the Intermediate Range Agni-Prime Missile from a Rail-based Mobile launcher system, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said. The missile has a range of up to 2,000 km. The launcher can move across rail network without any preconditions, allowing the missile to be launched in a short time with reduced visibility.
