The Telecom Ministry has ordered smartphone makers to preload a state-owned cyber security app that can't be deleted on all new devices, Reuters reported, citing a government order. The November 28 order has given phone makers 90 days to make sure the Sanchar Saathi app is pre-installed on all new mobile phones, the report said. Users reportedly can't disable it.
