IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the government is set to procure an additional 14,000 Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) under the national AI mission. This marks the second round of GPU acquisition, as 18,000 GPUs were earlier bought under the mission. The acquisition will boost India's capacity to develop and train AI models, especially large language and small language models.
