Former ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) chairman Dr S Somanath said that India aims to have a permanent human presence in space, a Bharatiya Antariksh Station in orbit, by the year 2047. Somanath stated India aims for indigenous missions exploring the Moon, Mars, and beyond by 2047. India is shaping global trends with reusable launchers and electric propulsion, he added.
