The Indian government aims to roll out satellite communication (satcom) services by January 2026. The Digital Communication Commission (DCC) is set to finalise spectrum pricing and policies, including licenses for satellite earth station gateways. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has proposed a 5-year spectrum tenure with a 4% revenue-based fee.
