After US President Donald Trump's announcement on imposing 100% tariff on movies made outside the United States, shares of Indian entertainment companies fell by up to 5%. The Nifty Media index fell over 1%, with seven of its 10 constituents trading in red. Prime Focus fell by 5%, PVR INOX fell up to 3%, and Mukta Arts dropped nearly 2%.
