In a historic milestone, the Indian flag was hoisted at Seattle's famous 605-foot-tall Space Needle in US to mark India's 79th Independence Day. The event was attended by Consul General of India in Seattle, the Mayor of Seattle, Bruce Harrell, and other dignitaries from the city leadership. Later, a community reception was separately hosted by Consulate at Kerry Park, Seattle.
