The Indian government has approved the start of negotiations for a ₹70,000 crore deal under Project 75I, aimed at acquiring six advanced submarines. This clearance comes after months of deliberation and marks a significant step in modernising the Indian Navy’s underwater capabilities. The submarines, once inducted, are expected to enhance India’s strategic and operational reach.
