Indian ITs reduced their reliance on H-1B visas over past eight years, NFAP's data revealed. Approved H-1B petitions for initial employment from top seven Indian ITs fell 56% from 15,100 in FY15 to 6,700 in FY23. Meanwhile, top five US firms secured 28,000 visa approvals in FY24. Currently, H-1B visa is under attack in US for allegedly snatching away jobs.
