Tonmoy Sharma, an Indian-origin pharma tycoon, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport over his involvement in a healthcare fraud. The 61-year-old is the founder and ex-CEO of now-defunct Sovereign Health Group, an addiction treatment provider. Sharma allegedly submitted $149 million in fraudulent claims to health insurers and paid $21 million in illegal kickbacks for patient referrals.
