Anthropic has appointed Indian-origin tech veteran Rahul Patil as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He will be taking over from the AI research company's Co-Founder Sam McCandlish, who will move to a new role as chief architect. Patil was previously the CTO of fintech giant Stripe and has held roles in companies like Oracle, Amazon and Microsoft.
