Indian Railways is set to roll out a modernised reservation system by December 2025. Passengers will be able to choose their seats, check dynamic fare calendars, and receive waitlist updates earlier. The system aims to support 1.5 lakh bookings per minute. From July 1, verified authentication will be mandatory for Tatkal bookings, ensuring improved security and transparency across the platform.
