The Indian Tricolour was hoisted for the first time on top of Seattle's 605-feet-tall Space Needle on 79th Independence Day, and the Indian Embassy shared several pictures of the same. The Embassy called it "a proud moment for the Indian diaspora in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest". The pictures also showed the Indian diaspora gathered at Kerry Park for celebrations.
