The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday announced that the initial phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar has been completed amid the ongoing controversy. As of 6 PM, 1,69,49,208 forms were collected, the ECI said. "No one was satisfied with the current status of electoral rolls," Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar stated.
