On 18 July 2025, the Indian Navy will commission the premier INS Nistar, the first in its class of Diving Support Vessels. This indigenously designed and constructed vessel, built by Hindustan Shipyard Limited in Visakhapatnam, is set to join the Eastern Naval Command and will support deep-sea diving and submarine rescue operations.
