Insurance company CEOs met Finance Ministry officials on Wednesday to discuss recent GST reform changes among other concerns. During the meeting the insurers requested that applicability of GST changes be made prospective rather than retrospective. They also sought input tax credit (ITC) benefits on renewal policies, which would allow them to set off paid taxes on inputs against tax liability.
