If a worker dies in an insured vehicle owned by the company, the family of the deceased is entitled to a Motor Accident Claim under the Motor Vehicles Act. The compensation shall be calculated considering his then income, dependents etc. The dependents can file a Motor Accident Claim before the jurisdictional court, told Advocate Deepak Somani.
