Insurance companies will implement the new tax rates from Monday, as GST on individual health and life insurance premiums is exempted, unlike the previous 18% rate, reports stated. Insurers plan to pass on entire reduction in GST to customers, without changing product prices for now. They also expect slight increase in demand as many customers delayed purchases awaiting GST 2.0.
