Investors sold debt funds worth ₹1.02 lakh crore in September, contrasting with ₹7,980-crore redemptions seen in August, according to AMFI data. The sharp decline is mainly attributed to quarter-end liquidity adjustments and advance tax-related outflows by institutional investors. Liquid funds category saw the biggest outflow, at ₹66,042 crore, while money market funds saw ₹17,900-crore outflows.
