Japan-based Murata Manufacturing, a major supplier of iPhone components, has launched production at its first Indian facility located in Tamil Nadu. The facility will package and ship multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs), a part used in smartphones, EVs, and NASA’s Mars helicopter. Murata's India debut marks its push to diversify production beyond Japan, where 60% of its MLCC output is based.
