Senior IPS officer Praveer Ranjan has been appointed the chief of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), while Praveen Kumar became the new chief of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on Friday. Ranjan is a 1993-batch IPS officer of AGMUT cadre and his batchmate Praveen belongs to the West Bengal cadre. Both the officers will take charge on September 30.
