Haryana Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sandeep Sharma alleged before his suicide that late IPS officer Y Puran Kumar removed certain officers of other castes and appointed corrupt men in his office. He claimed that men appointed by IPS Puran used minor clerical errors in official files to summon, torture, and extort money from other officers. IPS Puran had died by suicide.
