Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has appointed Major General Sayyid Abdolrahim Mousavi as the new Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, the country's highest military position. This follows the death of Lieutenant General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri in the Israeli attack on Friday. The attack claimed the lives of top military officials, including IRGC chief, and nuclear scientists.
