Iran has categorically rejected reports claiming that Elon Musk met Iranian envoy to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, to discuss how tensions between Iran and US can be defused. Iranian spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei also expressed 'surprise' at the reports. Musk had earlier reportedly held a joint telephonic call with US President-elect Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
