After the US sanctioned six India-based companies for purchasing Iranian petroleum and linked products, the Iranian Embassy in India said the US continues to use sanctions as tools to dictate its will on independent nations. "These coercive discriminatory actions violate the principles of international law and national sovereignty, representing a modern form of economic imperialism," it added.
