Iran’s Mahan Air has covertly expanded its wide-body fleet by acquiring five former Singapore Airlines and NokScoot Boeing 777-200 aircraft through a multi-country transfer network designed to bypass U.S. and EU sanctions. The jets, previously stored in Australia following NokScoot’s collapse, were re-registered in Madagascar after being purchased by U.S.-based Ion Aviation.
