Scientists say that water, especially that stored in a plastic bottle and kept in a warm environment – like a vehicle for a long time, can "leach" unnamed chemicals that cause diseases. Bacterial growth in the bottle can lead to stomach discomfort and even life-threatening diarrhoea. According to experts, mould can grow inside bottle cap or along crevices.
