Coca-Cola recently announced it'll use cane sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup. Cane sugar is made from sugar cane juice that's concentrated and crystalised while fructose corn syrup is a liquid sweetener made from corn starch. According to experts, both are added sugars with no major differences in terms of effect on body weight, blood sugar or insulin levels.
